Hi All,

Info for the final Round of the Alpine Bikes Winter Series supported by Saracen Bikes.

A few things before I start – Please remember your number boards from the last time. You will have the same number as Round 2 – If you did not race Round 2 but did race round 1 then please bring your board but you will also be issued with a new one.

Sign on: You must bring your board to sign on – Everyone will have to sign on again regardless of whether you collected your new board at the last round. Anyone failing to do so will be removed from the system.

Sign on times: Sign in will be in Alpine Bikes from 3pm – 5pm on Friday then from 0800 – 1100 only on Saturday morning.

Uplifts: Path to uplift will open at 0815 both Saturday and Sunday mornings – First loading will start at 0830 and track live by 9am on both days. The last uplift will leave no later than 4.30 on the Saturday meaning you must be off down the road by 4pm.

Last man on track: on Sunday will be 1045 – If you are not on the track by 1045 then you will have to come down an alternative way.

Race Runs: There will be 2 race runs for all and the format we will be using will be ‘best run counts’.

Seeding: All riders will be seeded the best we can before the event based on National Rankings – If you have little or no race experience its very difficult to seed you unless we actually know you. You will also be re-seeded after your first run so don’t panic if you catch someone on your first go.

Redbull: Redbull will be on hand all weekend with their PA System and vehicle along with Redbull to keep you going. On Sunday you’ll get the girls handing on the cans too….

Camping / car parking: There is a small amount of camping in the carpark at Innerleithen and of course space for parking, caravans and camper vans. Please do not block the entrance to the car park, park on the end of roads or park anywhere where there are yellow ‘no parking’ cones – If you do then you may be liable to be towed away by the Police for causing an obstruction.

You may arrive any time on Friday and stay over till the Sunday evening in the car park for free – it’s all included in your entry fee.

Marshalls: Marshall brief will be at 0745 each morning. Please arrive on time – We rely on you all to get uplifts and racing started and running on schedule.

Rules, Regulations and Armour Rules: Please note that all riders must have a full face helmet, gloves and bar plugs. All those in Juvenile, Youth and Junior must also wear Elbow, Knee and spinal protection in addition to gloves and full face helmets

That’s all for now – any questions then please let me know. If you have any friends or family that still wish to book on then please advise them that entries are open until midday on Friday.

Thanks,

Mike Marsden, Race Organiser.
