What is Cycle:recycle?
Us cyclists all have bits and pieces of bikes lying around our sheds / workshops which one day we thought we might get round to using. Why not give them a second life by helping the guy's at cycle:recycle continue there good work turning one man's junk into another man's funk! cycle:recycle is a volunteer driven not for profit project based in Hebden Bridge where we provide a training platform to create all kinds of bikes from the donations given. In the 3 years we have been in operation we have rescued around 3.5 tonnes of bikes from landfill which are now being used on a regular basis in all area's of cycling. Cycle:recycle will have a collection point at bikeworks this weekend if you would like to support the project with any donations. You can contact them in advance with any questions at info@cyclerecycle.org.uk |
